Wow, its certainly been a while since I've made a journal entry. Considering my last one was really in March, I just edited it in April.

Well, Summer for me is here. I finished my first year of college and take a much needed break off for the Summer. But, the question is, am I enjoying myself? Well, yes and no. I've hung out with friends here and there, listened and played music, gone to the flicks, worked, and done crap here and there.

But, what I'm most looking forward to is this weekend and the weekend after the weekend after that. On the 6th of June, I'll be taking a much needed trip to the beach with some good friends and I'll be relaxing. Plus, on the 27th, I'm going to see Dream Theater with Between the Buried and Me. Which should be a great performance from two amazing bands. Its been about a month since I've been to a show and that was when I saw Shadows Fall and man, what an amazing Metal band. They know how to get the crowd going. Plus, I was at Gigantour last month, too. I saw Megadeth, Children of Bodom, In Flames, and Job For A Cowboy, and it was by far one of the best festivals I've been to. So, I'll be looking forward to seeing some talented musicians in Dream Theater and BTBAM.

Another thing lately is I've been getting back into my Metal roots. I've been listening more to Motorhead, Black Sabbath, Dio, Megadeth, etc. And oddly enough, I've kinda gotten into Jazz a bit. I bought the album "Kind of Blue," by Miles Davis and its beautiful musicianship. My drum instructor recommended it and I'm impressed by the rhythmic drum style in this kinda of music. It reminds me a lot of Neil Peart's kinda of skill except not as good. lol

But anyways, also with the Summer off, it will give me more time to do two things I love. Make art and write/play music. I'll be making more designs, poster, drawings, paintings, and such over the Summer. Plus, I'll hoping to get things going with a band with a friend of mine.

Plus, I'm gonna be moving out in August and staying with a friend in Charlottesville for the first semester of my second year of college. So, that should be very interesting.

Well, I've wasted enough of everyone's time. Oh and by the way, my next deviation that should be done soon is.....The Shadow. Just figured I'd give you guys a heads up.
